University of Michigan-Dearborn Future Manufacturing Some of the most sophisticated manufacturing systems in the world are found in southeastern Michigan, and today’s industries need a strong pool of well-trained and highly skilled engineers, managers, and problem-solvers.

UM-Dearborn attracts students who want to make a difference. They attend UM-Dearborn to take full advantage of the experiential learning and research opportunities, and they graduate work-ready and civic-minded. Nearly 80 percent of graduates stay in the region to continue working for and on behalf of local businesses and communities.


When you become a member of the Detroit 3D Printing Chapter, a portion of the proceeds will be donated to the following two organizations:

Forgotten Harvest - Detroit Forgotten Harvest “rescued” 45.5 million pounds of food last year by collecting surplus prepared and perishable food from 455 sources, including grocery stores, fruit and vegetable markets, restaurants, caterers, dairies, farmers, wholesale food distributors and other Health Department-approved sources. This donated food, which would otherwise go to waste, is delivered free-of-charge to 280 emergency food providers in the Metro Detroit area.

Gleaners Food Bank

For more than 37 years, Gleaners Community Food Bank has been “feeding hungry people and nourishing our communities.” Last year, Gleaners distributed 41 million pounds of emergency food to more than 550 partner soup kitchens, shelters and pantries in Wayne, Oakland, Macomb, Livingston and Monroe counties. Help us fight hunger in Detroit.
