A funded project at Kickstarter gives us one of the very first affordable 3D printers, called the Buccaneer.
It is “the most affordable, fully assembled 3D printer in the world.” The team that created it has even thought of usability! Users can design “Smart Objects” on their own or buy designs from the “Treasure Island” store online and print them using cloud printing.
This affordable printer will be put in consumer homes, making 3D printing an everyday technology that is incorporated into common knowledge.
