New 3D-printed 3D Printer From Kickstarter

For as little as $1,095, anyone with an internet connection can now order a 3D-printed 3D printer!

Many of the parts in the gMax were printed by the RepRap 3D printer, and can be switched out. What is the world coming to? Machines can create whatever we want, and the same machines can create other machines just like them… This must be magic – and yet, it’s not.

The machine is fully customizable, meaning that it can be adjusted to the user in relation to size, color, materials used, and probably anything else your imagination can think up, because Gordon LaPlante wants it to offer complete 3D printing freedom. Because it is so customizable, there are plenty of potential add-ons. It can come with an LCD screen and a filament spool holder – an added bonus, because who wants to hold their own spool?
