Self-Replicating Robots, Thanks to 3D Printing

Lipson, a scientist at Cornell, was able to produce a robot that imitates life – it constantly learns about itself and can replicate itself with materials from a 3D printer. As long as the 3D printer has power and a supply of raw materials, the robot can continue to create versions of itself. What will a robot with the capacity to evolve turn into?
